In fact, the United States Department of Labor has projected that by the year 2025 up to two-thirds of all Americans could be working from home. Some will be employed by companies using work from home workers, while many others will have started their own home based businesses. Jupiter Research forecasts that U.S. online retail sales will continue to grow by a robust compound annual growth rate of 17% and sales will top $144 billion in 2010. Obviously, Internet-based home businesses will only comprise a fraction of that total, but the strong growth trend is certainly applicable.
