A Taste of Singapore Restaurant & Cocktail Bar is situated in the main square in Shapingba, Chongqing, a city of 34 million people. The restaurant is very popular with the expatriate community in Chongqing, and is gaining a loyal local customer base as well. The restaurant opened on 25th May 2008, and is well known for "foreigner style" parties, which receive plenty of free publicity in both local & English magazines & publications.

Shapingba has a very large student population as 3 of Chongqing's largest universities are situated within walking distance of our business, and with the new subway station set to open within the next 2 years, location couldn't be better. We are on the 5th floor of a popular shopping mall on the main square, with an area of 346 square metres & seating capacity of 90.

We are the 1st Singaporean Restaurant in Chongqing, & possibly the only place to get a decent cocktail. The current menu has mainly South-East Asian food with about 20% Western dishes. Our management team has been with us since day 1, including the Manager, Head Chef, 2 Supervising Chefs, Bar Supervisor, Floor Supervisor & Girl Friday.

We have good relationships with our suppliers & our building is managed by a Singaporean Company who can also deal in English.

If you are looking for something a little different or are looking to enter the Chinese Market, this might be for you. We will be moving to another Chinese city for business in 2009 and are looking for someone who will continue to make improvements & keep Chongqing's favourite expat hang-out going.
